Rare piece of Orlando theatrical history! This 6-inch crystal plate features light script engraving reading “Phillips Theatre” on the center. The Phillips Theatre was a historic movie palace located at Pine Street and Orange Avenue in downtown Orlando, operating from 1917 onwards.
The plate is pressed glass in an Early American pattern with 8 scalloped/notched edges. Based on the style and Eagle socket from similar estate items, this commemorative piece likely dates to the 1940s-1950s, possibly made for a theater anniversary or as a VIP gift.
