Metzke Pewter nativity set featuring Holy Family – Joseph, Mary, and Baby Jesus from 1998. Distinctive vintage American folk style with simplified rounded forms, ball-shaped heads, elongated arms, and minimalist droopy-eye features reminiscent of primitive folk art and wooden toy aesthetic. Marked “Metzke 1998” on bottom. Significant collectible as Metzke ceased production in 1997 to avoid competing with international markets, making this one of their final distributed sets. Unique contemporary folk art design sets it apart from traditional nativity styles.
